Kent M. Philips
President

Kent Phillips is the President of Storm Properties. Mr. Phillips joined the Storm organization in 1998 and has more than 23 years of experience in residential, commercial and industrial real estate development throughout the United States. His varied background has touched the fields of design, engineering, and architecture, and he has particular expertise in property acquisition and entitlement.

Mr. Phillips began his career with the Irvine-based RBF Engineering, providing project management for master-planned residential and golf communities in Orange County, California. Other projects from this period include residential developments such as the Marblehead projects in San Clemente and Ridgemoor in Hacienda Heights. As the Director of Design and Planning with Landmark Land Company, based in La Quinta, California, he worked on large resort developments with residential, commercial, hotel and recreational amenities, such as golf and tennis facilities. These projects were mostly located in the Coachella Valley area of California, Arizona, South Carolina, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Florida. In the 1990s, Mr. Phillips teamed with one of Storm's shareholders to develop family entertainment and golf practice centers. His projects have ranged from single-occupancy industrial buildings to master-planned housing communities in excess of 5,000 acres.

Kent received his Bachelor's Degrees in Urban Planning and Urban Geography from the University of Southern California in December 1985. He focused his studies on the physical design of urban developments using specific theories of urban economics to substantiate the spatial element in real estate decisions. While attending the University of Southern California he founded the Trojan Geography Club and was active in the Council of Presidents.

Jeff Mattox
Vice President of Operations

Jeff Mattox is the Vice President of Operations for Storm Properties. Mr. Mattox joined the Storm Real Estate companies in July 2006, and brings over 23 years of construction and land development experience. He has expertise in all types of construction ranging from residential to industrial. He has been responsible for the development of over 6,700 residential sites and construction of over 3,900 residential units. Jeff's recent experience has been in production housing, serving for the last 13 years as the General Superintendent reporting directly to the Vice President of Construction of California Pacific Homes. Jeff is a certified Construction and Development Manager.

David Duggins
Director of Industrial Development

Dave Duggins is the Director of Industrial Development and the general contractor for Storm Properties. He joined the Storm organization in 1999, and has more than 32 years of experience in general contracting and real estate. Dave's projects range from small retail buildings and medium size industrial parks to large public works facilities. Dave is a versatile builder, well educated in managing design consultants, engineers and sub-contractors. He also brings to the company a great understanding of the jurisdictional processes and implementation. Dave holds a State of California General Contractors license.

MJ Flake
Controller

MJ Flake is the Controller for Storm Properties. Ms. Flake joined the Storm Real Estate companies in February 2007, and brings over 17 years of professional accounting experience in real estate development, property management, finance, acquisition and construction. MJ has spent the majority of her career providing accounting support, financial preparation, management and direction in all disciplines of real estate development and construction. She is well versed in the Yardi software program and brings a true understanding of job costing knowledge to the organization. MJ received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California Berkley and her Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

David Simard
Director of Acquisitions and Entitlements

David Simard joined Storm Properties in 2005; he is responsible for all acquisitions and heads our entitlement department. David has worked in corporate and real estate law for over 7 years. David brings with him an additional 6 years of management and project management experience. Prior to accepting a position with Storm, David had worked extensively with numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Sprint, T-Mobile and Cingular as a Project Director with Velocitel. Prior to his work with Velocitel, David was an Acquisition & Construction Manager with the Everest Group. He also served as a Real Estate Attorney with the firm of Warren & Associates, PC. David received his Bachelor of Psychology degree in Industrial Psychology and Bachelor of History degree in International Relations from the University of Windsor in Canada. He received his Juris Doctor focusing on taxation & real property from Michigan State University and is a licensed federal attorney.

Amy Berberich
Property Manager

Amy Berberich is the property manager for Storm Properties. Ms. Berberich joined the Storm organization in 2003 and manages over 30 leases and 20 buildings including 850,000 square feet of industrial property and various vacant land holdings in locations throughout Southern California. Prior to joining Storm Properties, Amy provided administrative support to the sales organization of iParq for the preparation of contracts and RFP's. She holds a State of California Department of Real Estate Salesperson license. Amy received her Bachelor's Degree in Global and International Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
